Boat Party

Get ready to dive into an unforgettable night as we set sail from Custom House Quay for an electrifying Culture Night celebration! Join us aboard for a unique boat party where the rhythm of the waves meets the pulse of underground sounds.

Featured Performers:
Swny
Emerging in 2022, Swny draws inspiration from the pulsating techno heart of Berlin, crafting a sound that’s both deeply hypnotic and modern.

A seamless tapestry of distinct, ever-shifting sonic textures engulfs the listener, offering a potent auditory experience that leaves you wanting more. Prepare to be on a journey through the darker corners of sound, where classic techno meets modern innovation.

Hooligan
Liam Chambers, known as ‘HOOLIGAN,’ is an Irish DJ and producer whose techno style draws inspiration from the dark, underground scenes of Berlin. His music is characterized by a fusion of rolling basslines and heavy hypnotic sequences, ultimately blending the old with the new.

Through the integration of distinctive and evolving sounds, he takes his listeners on a captivating journey, offering a potent auditory experience that’s seamlessly woven with his trademark rolling groove. Outside of the club scene Hooligan has also been busy on the production front, boasting releases on Diffuse Reality, Research Label and Motz Berlin.

Music Performance

Chaz Moloney, Mejmi & Doileir have been propelling their careers across Ireland. Catch them in Cobh on Culture Night – September 20th.

CHAZ has been at the forefront of Limerick’s underground dance scene over the last decade, through regular appearances as both a DJ and promoter, while making regular appearances on Ireland’s Festival & Club Circuit.

CHAZ has recently been collecting hardware and slowly transforming his craft from DJ to Live artist. Developing a modular system that allows him to be fully creative and express & relay the atmosphere of any room he performs in. Summer of 2023, audiences saw elements of the Live show as Chaz appeared at coastal raves in Ireland before finally taking it to debut at Fuinneamh Festival, King John’s Castle for Culture Night and a Sold Out headline show in Belltable Theatre, Limerick.

MEJMI is an artist on the up, and for good reason. Balancing several projects, from running her event series Club Economy, co-curating the online radio show Síbín, producing potent techno and DJing across Ireland, the Galway-born, Cork-based talent is one of the most dedicated, creative and innovative names in the scene.

Her sound stems from the hypnotic, shadowy and groovy corners of techno, blending spectral atmospheres with old-skool flavours. A knowledgeable selector using vinyl and digital formats, she respects the genre’s roots and pays homage to the eras that have shaped dance music culture as we know it today.

DOILÉIR
As one of Ireland’s top techno DJs, he is dedicated to vinyl-only sets, delivering everything from wonky techno to hypnotic techno to electro. With a versatile taste in music, he has supported Sunil Sharpe, Bas Mooy, Keepsakes, Decka, EAS, and Tremor, among many other leading names.

Having built his reputation as a vinyl DJ, he is now expanding into live performances. Much like his DJ sets, his live performances range from wonky techno to hypnotic techno to electro.

Event at The Quays Entertainment: 7pm

We’re excited to welcome you to an unforgettable evening in Cobh, hosted by the Electronic Music Council. After the boat disembarks, join us at The Keys Bar and Restaurant, next to the Sirius Arts Centre, for music, drinks, and great company.

The evening kicks off with Big Up The Beours, a project promoting women in electronic dance music, from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. We’re thrilled to feature performances by Taly Murr and Lill, two rising stars in the Cork electronic music scene.

Taly Murr has played in a variety of venues across Cork City, as well as at Blacks Brewery in Kinsale. Known for her diverse selection of house, tech house, and Latin house, Taly’s sets are always dynamic and captivating. A great supporter of fellow artists, she has previously joined Big Up The Beours for other projects, including Joy in the Park at Fitzgerald’s Park and at Liquid Lounge.

Lill is an emerging artist making waves on the scene. She has performed in various spaces alongside acts like Arrhythmia and at The Edison. Known for her infectious energy and vibe-driven sets, she’s quickly becoming one to watch.

From 8.30 – 10pm, we’ve got Bodies Do The Talking, a Cork based collective with a series of nights in The Pav and Vicarstown Bar.

Having ran hugely successful nights with DJs such as Efa O’Neill and Local Groove are a testament to BDDT’s versatility and love for dance music across all ends of the spectrum.

You’ll see BDTT’s CJ Soltan, Cillian McCarthy, Danilo Milk, and Macaveli playing a wide range of sounds to keep you moving.
